I have the acer predator helios 300 (PH315-52-78VL) 2019 and im thinking of changing the thermal paste and thermal pads for the first time. I game about everyday which leaves the laptop under high load. Temps are getting a little warm now and im considering the arctic silver 5 or the arctic mx-4 thermal compounds. I chose these 2 because they can handle heat and dont dry up for atleast 6-12 months.
Can anyone tell me which thermal pads should I use and some opinions.

First and before you do anything and after taking the back cover off, make sure that you "Disconnect the Battery First" and after press the “Power Button and/or if the Power Button is a Keyboard Key” for 10 seconds to discharge any power in your laptop before you work on your laptop and/or take the Thermal Modules off the CPU and GPU! Not doing so can cause disastrous shortages of components and damage your laptop.

The thermal paste and pads that I use are the "Thermal Grizzlyrange of the Kryonaut Extreme paste and their Carbonaut high-tech carbon thermal pads or the Minus Pad series pads that I found to be of the highest quality and performs the best. Do not use the liquid metal thermal compounds as they are dangerous and not needed to be used on laptops, liquid metal thermal compounds if applied excessively and wrongly will liquefy and leak/spread to surrounding circuitries around the CPU and GPU shorting out circuitry components and wrecking your laptop. always apply the paste mid CPU and GPU with the “Pea Dot Method” that you put a pea size amount of paste ontoboth the CPUand GPU and then refit the CPU and GPU thermal modules on top and then tightly securing them with their appropriate screws.

Hi there! I know this is few years ago. May I ask the sizes of the pads? I have the same model (PH315-52-78VL) and I heard some of them should be 0.5mm and some are 1.0mm regarding this link..

And also do you have some alternatives on the one you mentioned? The Carbonaut and the Minus Pad are quite expensive in my area.
