is this normal ? My predator is an i7 with nvidia 3070 - monitoring my temps and with the fans in gaming mode the temps look absolutely fine for a gaming PC when under load. I have the noctua cpu fan btw that a lot recommended. But when playing some games like Jedi survivor the right hand side of the case is pretty hot to the touch especially the upper part. Does anyone else see this happen ? As I said, the temps reported in the fan control app are all good but that case is darn hot in the mentioned region.

Which Noctua did you install? The larger one is a real tight fit into the PO3 chassis and might transfer some of it's heat to the case itself…

well take the side panel off and I'm not sure what you are doing when it gets that hot but touch the side of the cooler mines always cold when i touch it, the only heat i ever feel is blowing out the right top side of my 3070 lol, and out the back of my Noctua cooler, when I'm gaming.

The NH-U9S should have enough clearance to keep the side cover from getting too hot. Don't touch the cooler, despite what Chug suggests, you might get burned… He has a completely different system. I wouldn't be worried unless the surface it really too hot to touch.
