H233H monitor cycles through VGA HDMI Digital modes

My H233H recently started cycling through VGA / HDMI / Digital modes searching for a signal.  The screen goes black every time the monitor starts the search cycle.  Running Windows 7 32-bit.

  •  I bought a new VGA cable, so it is not the cable.
  •  I bought a new graphics card, so it is not the graphics card.
  •  I have the most recent (and only) H233H driver installed, dated 6/12/2009.

Rebooting the system alieviates the problem for several hours.  Then it starts cycling through the monitor modes again.  The problem makes the monitor unusable.

I suspect there was a Windows update which created an incompatibility issue with the driver.  It would be nice to have a driver that's not four years old.

Any suggestions anyone?

Suggestions might seem a bit silly, but:

    • Try making absolutely sure the connection is as tight as possible - a monitor will sometimes cycle through inputs if you disconnect/reconnect a cable, and it may think that's what is happening if a cable is loose.
    • Try a different cable - most monitors and graphics cards have VGA/DVI/HDMI - whatever one you're using now, try using a different one (on both the monitor and card).
    • Make sure there's nothing 'on' the input button. If it's touch sensitive, dirt or some such might cause this. (really reaching, now...)
    • Lastly, monitor's driver shouldn't matter that much - it's not like it will stop working at all if it doesn't have the driver. Try uninstalling it and see if that helps...

Thanks for your suggestions.  I have previously tried to reconnect the VGA cable and have even switched it out.  To no avail.
