Hi! I have a pretty old machine from apoximately 10 years ago, and when I wanted to turn my PC on, I noticed that the screen doesn't display any content even tho the computer is running. I tried extracting the external battery and the ram too and holding the power button for 30 seconds, but nothing worked, can someone help me? thank you! (I do not want to waste money on technical support and on a new PC)

Sorry, my question is stupid, it's not possible to find out without going into BIOS or going into the operating system 😣
Anyway, it doesn't matter, it's a problem with the graphics card.

    Thank you.
    All the best.

It would have to be reviewed by a technical service that has the means, but make sure that they do not charge you for the consultation and that they prepare a prior budget so that you can assess the relationship between the price of the repair and the value of the equipment.

    Thank you.

  • Hi @miufgdftfgd6656 if you can, connect an external monitor to find out if the graph gives video or is it a monitor problem.
    What operating system is installed?

    Thank you.

Hi Alejandro! I know this is out of the box but i just noticed that you can speak spanish due to the message saying "Por favor, "me gusta" si mi respuesta… Etc" in Spanish, so from now on,I am going to continue this conversation in that language, if you wish for me to speak english again, please let me know!

Gracias!

  • Better in English since this is the community in this language, there is also a community in Spanish, thank.

But what happened when connecting to the projector?
Did you try an external monitor to see if there is video output?

    Thank you.
    All the best.

Hi! When I connected the machine to the proyector and turned both devices on, by some reason the laptop emitted a long beep and 2 short beeps, and still, nothing showed up on both the screen and the protection.

I once fixed the beeping issue but it came back after connecting to the proyector and etc… I tried disconnecting the proyector and turning the computer on still a long beep and 2 short ones.

  • The meaning of the beeps depends on the brand of BIOS, which brand is yours?

One long and two short can indicate:

AMIBIOS: 1 long beep and 2 short beeps: Error with the memory that is part of the video card.
Award/Phoenix: 1 long beep and 2 short beeps: Graphics card, video card or monitor error.
Award: The graphics card is not detected or the graphics card is failing.

As you can see, everything points to the video card.

    Thank you.
    All the best.

Hello! Sorry for returning, even tho this has been answered, but It looks like the PC displays content… It ha windows XP, i know it because I decided to hook it up to another monitor, and it works! now since this pc finally displays something, can you help me repair the built-in display?

  • I'm sorry, I wouldn't know how to do it, it would still have to be reviewed by a technical service, it's difficult for the community to know about hardware problems.

    Thank you.
    All the best.
