"Realtek Audio Console does not support this computer". I tried to install the latest drivers, the sound disappeared altogether. The laptop does not recognize the microphone installed on the headphones. I checked the headphones on another device, everything works. Now I installed the old Realtek driver, but only sound works with it, but not the microphone. Installed driver version 2.81 And already completely uninstalling Realtek, also did not help.

The audio drivers in these laptops are not only controlled by the Realtek audio driver in your Nitro AN515-45 that has the Ryzen 5 or 7 AMD CPU and integrated graphics and its dedicated NVidia GPU RTX30XX which also has HD Definition audio and NVidia Virtual Audio Device which and if you update the Realtek Audio also need to be updated/reinstalled as that is why your audio is not working.

If you update the Realtek Audio, you need to do a clean install of the RTX30XX GPU that your AN515-45 has as that installs all the NVidia audio drivers that are needed, as that is where you are going wrong and that is where your problem is. Also, don't update the Realtek audio driver as this driver gets updated automatically by Windows Update or Acer and you don't need to update it.

These are the audio drivers that you need, so go to the Acer Drivers & Manuals for the AN515-45 and install the oem Realteck drivers below and then uninstall the NVidia graphics drivers and install the latest Win-11 NVidia driver for Win-11 for the RTX30XX GPOU that you have, as doing this will make your audio work and the Realtek Audio Console will also be installed like its shown below:

    • Realtek - Audio Driver - Version: 6.0.9126.1
    • Realtek - Audio Console - Version 1.25.245.0

This is the Realtek Audio Console Speakers/Microphone Array from my Nitro AN515-56 and my mic works perfectly with the Realtek Acer oem drivers and NVidia audio.

A separate microphone with an RCA 3.5mm jack won't work, you need to use a combined headset with the correct plug:

When you insert an RCA 3.5mm MS compatible plug in the phone jack you should get a message with 3 options "What are you inserting?" and you have to repeat your choice in the RTK Audio Console.

If you have issues (won't open) with RTK Audio Console, install Realtek Audio Control app from the Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/realtek-audio-control/9P2B8MCSVPLN?hl=en-us&gl=us
