Good afternoon, I have a nitro 5 an515-45-r6cu laptop and, alas, through UMAF bios, I messed up the laptop and therefore I need a bios file, not an exe format, can anyone have it? I will be very grateful! It will be a shame if the problem is not in bios, but in the hardware of the processor (Changed the P0State parameter)

And how is it possible to enter "Crisis Bios" mode?

I figured out a little bit the "Crisis Bios" mode, but I have a question. Is it possible to use the exe file of the bios and what name is required to start reading the file by the laptop? Since 10 minutes of waiting, it makes a lot of noise, but it seems that the file names I found on the Internet - not suitable. I have graphics working only on the built-in display, external displays work from discrete card and therefore external monitors light up only already in different systems, except bios and laptop boot stage, so it's not about the cable.

  • Hi @lev12354 i leave you the download page of the equipment in case it helps, but the last available BIOS file is an .exe extension, maybe you can find a third-party application to get its files:

    Thank you.
    All the best.

https://github.com/ny4rlk0/BIOS-ACER-NITRO-5-AN515-45 Found an installer from this person that has the bios file in .bin format, but the question remains the same, what name is required to start reading the file?

  • I don't know, but I don't recommend you install files other than those officially provided by Acer.

    Thank you.
    All the best.

How to get CH341A / Programmer version in similiar laptops?

Download the BIOS you wanted from Acer's official site.
Open .EXE file with 7ZIP extracted. Find a file called abobios.bin. (This file name can change between different Acer laptops. Then you will perform same operation on that file.)
Open a Windows CMD same folder.
    extractor.exe abobios.bin extracted_abobios.bin
Then before i use with Neo Programmmer 2.2.0.10 renamed file to abobios.bin
(If your BIOS file name is different than this then try using that name.)
I don't know why this is not mentioned anywhere in this site.
I'm still waiting to test this while waiting for shipment of missing single tool.
Extracted bios file and BIOS chip is exactly same sized.

How to enter BIOS Recovery Mode / BIOS Crisis Mode in similiar laptops?

While turned off. Keep Press FN+ESC for BIOS Crisis Recovery Mode same time press and release power button.
This laptop looks for BIOS file named BIOS.fd or ME.fd in USB drive formatted as fat32.

How to Find What BIOS File Name for similiar laptops?

Extract the BIOS file from EXE form with 7ZIP and open the abobios.BIN file with the HxD editor.
Press CTRL + F and search for .fd
In this way, you can find out which BIOS file name the laptop is looking for in BIOS Restore Mode / Crisis Mode.

I literally signed up to post this. You might have fixed by now but this might be reference for what to do.

    Good Luck.
