I have tried all ways through YouTube and acer discussions but nothing is helpful my laptop shows this everytime I on it but after many attempts like 20-30 bios settings changes like enabling disabling couple of things couple of time the laptop starts sometimes but after I shut it down after work this happens again when I open it again and it's been many months this is happening please sometime help me it would be real help.

Also I have tried lots of bios settings, I don't have legacy option, i have changed sata many time and I don't see hdd anytime in the UEFI mode, tried disabling the UEFI also by changing passwords, also. Tried F10 before acer logo and reset of the PC as well but nothing is working. I have tried opening laptop and checking the hdd proper connection and battery unplug and replug.

Here are pictures of what my bios look like but this is default I have played with these n number of times

The SATA optane mode without RAID detected in the BIOS Information page doesn't seem to match the SATA optane mode with RAID setting in the BIOS Main page. I suspect that you may have a malfunctioning optane accelerator chip for the Seagate hard drive.

If you can still sometimes boot into Windows, press WIN+R. Then enter 'diskmgmt.msc'. Post a screenshot of the result if possible.

    OK. You seem to have a 256GB or 512GB SSD Windows boot C : \ drive and a 1TB HDD data D : \ drive.

Now press WIN+R again. Enter 'msinfo32'. Expand the components folder in the left pane. Expand the storage sub-folder under components. Click on "Disks" sub-folder.

What are the disk model numbers listed for the two disk drives? One should be the Seagate HDD model st1000lh049-2gh172. A screenshot would be nice.

OK. Press WIN+R again. Enter "msconfig". Click on the BOOT tab. In the boot option section, checkmark Safe Boot. Click OK. Then re-start Windows. Report back for further instructions after confirming that Windows seems to boot into Safe Mode OK.

  • Yes! Furthermore, the SSD also no longer appears in the main BIOS tab. I would try resetting the BIOS settings first by resetting the lithium battery.

What option should I select below safe boot

OK. While it's in Safe Mode, re-start the machine. IMMEDIATELY start tapping the F2 key to re-enter the BIOS menu. Then click the MAIN tab and change the SATA mode to AHCI mode. Then press F10 to save settings and exit BIOS menu.

The AHCI mode drivers should be loaded in Safe Mode. After Safe Mode boots again, press WIN+R again. Enter 'msconfig'. Click on BOOT tab. UNcheck Safe Boot. Re-start Windows.

Normal Windows should now load in AHCI mode.

Report back confirming that it boots Windows normally because I have a few comments on the Western Digital 256GB SSD C : \ boot drive and its BIOS detection.

OK. Do NOT try to change any BIOS settings if this happens again.

Instead, press and hold the power button till the machine turns off. Wait a few minutes. Then turn the machine on and IMMEDIATELY start tapping the F2 key to re-enter the BIOS menu. Press F10 to save settings and exit even if the Western Digital boot drive doesn't appear and even though you haven't made any changes.

This method often fixes an SSD that is not being detected by or showing in the BIOS Information page after a power off period of time. It may not be a serious issue with the SSD but only an occasional annoyance that seems to afflict some SSDs.

    Good luck.

Jacke it's still not fixing it is there any permanent solution for this I am really tired of doing that over and over again and again, please help me.

As mentioned above, press and hold the power button till the machine turns off. Wait a few moment. Then turn the machine on and IMMEDIATELY start tapping the F2 key to re-enter the BIOS menu. Press F10 to save settings and exit even
if the Western Digital boot drive doesn't appear and even though you haven't made any changes.

As I also said earlier, this is only only an occasional annoyance that seems to affect some SSDs. There is no permanent solution other than to replace the Western Digital SSD card but there is no guarantee that another brand and model card won't do the same thing.

I in fact have a different brand 1TB SSD that does exactly the same thing every few days. It only takes me a minute or two to shut the machine off, turn it back and tap F10 on to re-enter the BIOS, press F10 to save and exit without changing anything, and I'm up and running again. It's annoying but it works.

  • Try disconnecting the lithium battery and the two ssds:

Then reconnect the ssds and battery, in that order.
