Power supply Problem? Acer Aspire AT3-605-U24 - GT640 with 4GB dedicated memory - 300W Power?

Hello,

I am looking to buy a mid-range gaming PC with a budget of about $1000 - I saw the Acer Aspire AT3-605-U24 for $999 and thought it fit my needs nicely.

My only concern is that is has a NVIDIA GT640 graphics card with 4GB of dedicated RAM - Why is this not the usual 2GB? Is this a custom card by Acer?

The problem is that Acer advertises a 300W Power Supply in the machine where even the stock 2GB Nvidia GT640 needs 350W to run. Is this video card a custom job by Acer that is meant to run on only 300W with no issues? Or is this a hardware oversight that is going to cause problems for me if I purchase this PC.

Thank you!

Zach

Not only is it a minimal power supply, it is propritary as well, 12 pin MOBO power connector, not standard 24 pin. Found that out the had way when I tried to upgrade powere supply to. Even if you were not going to upgrade, if the power supply quits, especially afterv warrenty, lots of luck replacing.
