My PC is not detecting my microphne on my headset. Nitro AN515-55

I recently bought a new pair of hedpones with a detachable mic, (this was the first one than didn't use an usb to connect to the PC) specifically Lamax Hereos General1, and for some reason the mic is not being detected, I tried many different things like changing it to headphones with mic, but nothing seem to work. I know for a fact that there's nothing wrong with the headphone because the mic works fine on my phone and my xbox (also sorry for my PC being in a different language, but this is the place where the mic ikon should appear).

It is not a separate item.

Plug in your headset, select "headset" when prompted. If not prompted, go to realtek audio console to select "headset".

Lightly tap your headset mic, this will move thus verifying that your headset mic works.

Yeah, Realtek can be a pain sometimes in that way. It currently thinks the device you plugged into the port is headphones instead of a headset. It should have popped up a requestor the very first time you plugged them in to select what they were, and it's really easy to answer wrong since headset and headphones are so similar. Run the Realtek Audio Console and either have it forget the device or convert it to a headset.

Thats the thing, I already told it it's a headset not just headphones. Also I couldn't find the option to forget the device, but thanks for the tip

OK, there are two types of headset connectors, with mic and ground switched between them.

It shouldn't make much of a difference, but it might, if yours isn't the right type.

But.. shouldn't that also effect other devices like phones and consoles?

It depends on the phone or console… If they match the plug they will work, if they don't care about polarity they should work. If they do care then the mic won't function.

Do you have any ideas, where can I find what plug and connecter I have? Cause I can't seem to find it in the manual for my hedset nor for my computer.

The Nitro uses an OMTP, so the Nokia type. Is your headset an Apple product?

No, the headset is from lamax, it is not an apple product.

Which model? They might have both types available, or an adapter to change from one to the other.
