I am thinking of doing fresh windows 11 installation on my acer predator helios 16 2023(i7-13700HX RTX 4060) version as I’m facing some buggy drivers issues. So wanted to know how and in what order should i install acer drivers in my system?

Can someone guide me with step by step process so that I don’t mess up any with any drivers installation

[Edited the thread to add model name to the title and to add issue detail]

Download Win-11 .ISO and then use Rufus 4.1 to make a bootable USB Win-11 installation drive then on the same drive, put the unzipped "IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver" for your laptop model (get this from the Ace Drivers & Manuals" page of your laptop, make sure you do this!

After you have done all the above, boot that drive and start the installation, when you get to "Where do you want to install Windows?" section of the installation go to Driver and install the IRST driver and then and after your boot M.2 SSD drive is recognized format the drive and continue the Win-11 installation, once you finish the installation make sure you install all Windows Updates and then do the NVidia Intel drivers like I've explained above. That is all that you have to do, as then you will have your laptop up to date and functioning with all the latest Win-11 Microsoft and manufacturers drivers.

First install a clean install version of Win-11 (delete and format the boot drive and install the IRST - Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver at Wiun-11 install) and then do all the Win-11 updates first, then look into Device Manager any uninstalled drivers, get these drivers at your laptops model number Acer Drivers & Manuals site.

Once you have all the above drivers installed, then install the latest NVidia GeForce Game Ready Driver Version: 536.40 WHQL for the RTX4060 GPU but when you install this driver use the "Advanced" section of the driver to do a "Clean Install" that will uninstall the previous NVidia RTX4060 driver that windows installed, then install GeForce Experience software, after this install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant scan software so that you install all the Intel; latest drivers for Win-11. This is how I've done my drivers update after a clean install of Win-11 and my Nitro gaming laptop works perfectly without any issues.

If you followed that guide above, you don't need to install any of those drivers as all and most of the major drivers will be already updated to the latest versions for Win-11, you only need to install obsolete drivers that don't get updated from that list which could be the Card Reader driver, look at Device Manager and see if there are any drivers that have an exclamation mark next to them and update those from that list as they are drivers that are not updated automatically by either windows update or Intel or NVidia.

@StevenGen Hi thanks for the help

Do i need to download chipset driver, Intel processor power management,Serial IO drivers from acer website even though they are not showing any exclamation mark in device manager.

And what about INTEL UHD graphics do i need to use OEM provided or download from Intel website as its showing a update.

The only driver that you need for the installation of Win-11 is the unzipped "IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver" file of your Predator Helios which I presume is the model PHN16-71? If its not then download the proper IRST driver for your 13th Gen/RTX4060 Predator Helios and put the IRST driver on the Win-11 installation USB so when you get to "Where do you want to install Windows?" page of Win-11 installation, you install this IRST driver so that your M.2 boot drive is recognized and you can format the boot drive afterwards and continue the Win-11 installation.

That is all you need as after the Win-11 install make sure that all windows updates have been downloaded and then install the latest NVidia graphics from NVidia and also install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and do a scan and install all the latest Intel drives also., as then your laptop will be Completely up to date for Win-11.
