Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-55 Screen Tearing - What else can I do to get rid of it?

I've just started getting games working on my Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop. SOME games work fine, but others are suffering rather badly from what I have now discovered is "screen tearing". At least I think that's what it is.

The symptom is that horizontal lines appear on the screen. It usually happens when there is movement on screen. Like I say, some games are fine. To give you an example of two games that are affected: Black Mesa and The Sims 4. I have another game called Emergency which is fine, runs happily with maximum resolution and ultra high graphics.

Here's what I've tried doing for the two games that are experiencing the issue:

1. Updated NVIDIA Game-Ready driver to latest version.
2. Turned ON Vertical Sync in NVIDIA control panel.
3. Enabled Vertical Sync where it is possible to do so in each game.
4. Experimented with highest possible resolution (as I read online that Screen Tearing can happen if resolution is too low).
5. Experimented with lowest possible resolution.
6. Experimented with a range of resolutions in between.
7. Experimented with making graphics quality as high as possible, low as possible, and everything in between.

I'm really not sure what else I can do. I don't particularly want to "solve" the problem by just not playing any game where screen tearing occurs! Any suggestions?

Update: Yesterday I did a complete, clean reinstall of all graphics drivers, both NVIDIA and Intel, installing the latest versions. This seems to have resolved the issue, at least for now. Someone on another forum suggested sending through the output of DXDIAG which apparently revealed a couple of NVIDIA driver errors.

It might help if you could reveal your full helios 300 model number. There are many helios 300 models. For example. PH315-54? Or PH317-56? etc?

Also please post a screenshot of PredatorSense fan speeds and temps when the tearing happens.

Thanks for reporting back. What is your full model number so others with the same model might benefit? For example, PH315-54?

Apologies for the delay in replying - my model number is apparently PH315-55.
