Hello, I have an acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-58CL notebook and I would like to know if there is any driver tutorial for linux using Nitro 5. I would like to install a Pop OS on it. But, I install it normally and the screen brightness is very strange, lighter than usual and I think the color pattern is different. If I make a virtual machine on Windows, the screen is more pleasing to my eyes than if I had done a clean installation on disk.
It came with Endless OS, I formatted it to Windows 10 at the time and now I've upgraded to Windows 11. But I think I deleted a partition that had drivers in Endless OS. I don't know if there's more that zip or files for linux available on the internet.

    1. Display Brightness Issue: The strange screen brightness you're experiencing could be related to the graphics driver. In many cases, the open-source drivers included with the Linux distribution should work fine, but sometimes they might have issues. You can try the following steps to resolve the brightness issue:
      • Make sure your Pop OS installation is up to date by running the system update.
      • Check if there are any additional drivers available for your graphics card. Open the "Software & Updates" application, navigate to the "Additional Drivers" tab, and see if any proprietary drivers are listed. If available, select and install the appropriate driver for your graphics card.
      • If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to manually adjust the brightness settings using the function keys on your keyboard or through the system settings.
    2. Other Drivers: Besides the graphics driver, you may also need to install additional drivers for other hardware components, such as the wireless network adapter or touchpad. Pop OS is based on Ubuntu, so you can follow Ubuntu-specific guides and instructions for installing drivers. Here are some general steps you can take:
      • Connect your notebook to the internet using an Ethernet cable to ensure network connectivity.
      • Run system updates to get the latest packages and drivers available in the repositories.
      • Pop OS usually includes most common drivers out of the box, so you may not need to install additional drivers manually. However, if you encounter any issues with specific hardware components, you can search for Ubuntu-specific solutions for your particular model or hardware.

Remember to always back up your important data before making any system changes, just to be safe. Additionally, make sure to check the official Pop OS documentation and forums for any specific instructions or known issues related to your hardware model.
