I have a Nitro 7 laptop that keeps powering down randomly and without warning. Laptop can be powered on for an hour or 10 minutes it makes no difference and still powers down.
It’s an AN7 15-51-73AX and has had thorough clean with all resets done and still has this issue.

Any advice would be welcome as had no luck up to now

Thanks

Are the shutdowns related to high temp.? Is this happening when you display/work with HD graphics? Are you plugged-in or on battery when this happens? If not overheating, I suspect a GPU driver or battery issue, check those 2 items.

Thanks for the reply, not related to high temps it happens randomly sometimes after 10 mins from switch on and sometimes after an hour or so. It closes from Home Screen so not when it is doing anything resourceful. Happens both on battery and plugged in to mains, battery has been checked and is fine and it has also had a thorough clean.

It is very frustrating and it is only 3 years old

Pls type @Puraw or click Quote in your replies (I am not checking all posts).
This could be a rogue driver or corrupted system file, have you checked Device manager for Unknown Devices or Yellow exclamation marks lately (also check the hidden devices)? Uninstall all those problem drivers.
Do a Clean Boot with MSconfig.exe, Safe Boot, Minimal and also check the Base Video box, click Apply and reboot. If that helps you know it is driver related and not hardware. If it still crashes it is not the display adapter and you have to disable Safe Boot and Base Video first in MSconfig.exe and then disable all the non-Windows Services, Click apply and also disable all the Startup apps in Task manager, Startup tab and reboot.

@Puraw please try and be tolerant, I’m a newbie to this forum am not used to the etiquette. Thanks for being so blunt though.

All of your advice has been tried and to no avail I’m afraid. It is still having the same issue.

    Any other advice is welcome
