Acer Aspire A514 55 MediaTek MT 7922 WiFi Card it became unable to connect to WiFi

I have an Acer Aspire A514 55 comes with a MediaTek MT 7922 WiFi card, the driver version is 3.3.0.723 which is the latest in Acer site, the card worked well for 2 weeks since I bought it.

Until last night, it became weird, sometimes it took very long to check network requirement, sometimes it became unable to show available networks, sometimes it became unable to connect to WiFi,…

I tried uninstall and reinstall driver, reset adapter, run network trouble shooter, but all useless.

Is there someone who uses the same WiFi card also encountered the same issue?

IMO, 90% of what you just described is due to your server, ISP or broadband company, 5-8% due to a wrong router setup/location and only 2% to Windows (corrupted network cache) and or Adapter Advanced settings. Almost zero is driver or hardware related. So to immediately blame your WIFI card is irrational. First try to connect another WIFI (non-cellular) device if that is also bad and complain to your ISP if that is the case. If only you have these WIFI problems and your Ethernet (Lan cable) is working OK, clear previous unsuccessful or old connections in Windows:

Forget (delete) your present connection too and add your network from scratch, this is the same as Reset Network but involves more settings. Run this command (opened as administrator) too in Windows: ipconfig/flushdns

Finally open the advanced properties of your WIFI adapter in Device Manager and check your settings with the list below:

My other devices with Intel or Broadcom wifi card never behave like the MediaTek.

Then do the suggested remedies like removing old and present connections, adding your network from scratch and comparing the advanced adapter properties with the file I attached and flush your DNS cache.

The MTK Wi-Fi driver Version 3.3.0.723 that you are talking about is for the MTK - Wireless LAN Driver for model MT7922A only as there is another MTK - Wireless LAN Driver (MT7921LE) which has the driver version 3.00.01.1300, these are two different cards and need two different drivers, just like their Bluetooth drivers do also.

Check exactly what MTK Wi-Fi/BT card you have in Device Manager and install the appropriate card driver that Acer has oem for your card that is fitted to your A514-55 laptop, as that has a big bearing of how this card works. Btw I’ve got an Aspire A515-57 and I’m using an MTK Wi-Fi/BT card that has the same two different models and drivers and it makes a big difference which driver you install, as it has to be the correct one.

Below are all the Wi-Fi/BT cards fitted to your Aspire A514-55 laptop. If the MTK card still gives you problems and doesn't work, then try and fit another card to your laptop like the Wireless LAN Liteon 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) BT5.2 RTL8852BE Realtek 2x2 M.2 2230 PCIe card referenced below that is fitted to this laptop also:

The card in my A514-55 is MT7922 but the driver is for MT7922A, also the driver availabe in Acer site is for MT7922A. Where can I get the driver for MT7922?
