Acer Spin 713 not charging? Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hi,

I've had my Acer Spin 713 for under 6 months and in the last few days, it's stopped charging. It is stuck on 1% charge and says "calculating" when I hover over the battery icon. I reset via powerwash and it has not fixed it. 
Both USB c charging points do not charge it. 
I've only ever charged it using the manufacturer's charge cable.

Does anyone have a fix for this? I fear not as it seems to be a common problem with this Chromebook judging by other threads but I thought I'd open a new thread to get some help, please.
It's in warranty but would like to see if something can be done before sending it for repair. I'd prefer to have a replacement as I've read that the same thing has been repeated on repaired devices. I'd hate to think these "new" Chromebooks are being actually re-furbished or with re-furbished batteries?

    My belief is the issue isn't with the battery per se, it's with the OS monitoring for battery status. With the Windows machines we have tools for recalibrating the battery and for battery resets but with the Chromebooks it's tougher. Go ahead and let them 'fix' it with the warranty service and I expect Google will tweak something in one of the newer OS releases that will fix it. That has been what has happened in the past with similar issues.

    My Chromebook is doing exactly the same as Matthews unfortunately it's out of warranty. It's two years old in September.

    Only started last night. Can only use it with the power cable attached.

    Also, like Billsey wrote, the OS needs to register the capacity of a new battery, in Windows we do that by a complete charge cycle each time you install a new battery. Charge the battery to 100%, unplug the charger and boot the Chromebook, drain the battery till the Chromebook turns itself off (hibernates). Plugin the charger and charge to100%.
