i need some help please 🥺. i opened the back cover of my laptop to clean the fan, dust it out and replace the thermal paste with Arctic MX-4. i've done this for few times already and did NOTHING different or out of the ordinary.

but now. it just suddenly don't open. there's no light indicator for power. no light indicator when i try to plug it in battery. i pressed long enough on the power switch, but still, no sign of anything. I REALLY REALLY NEED SOME HELP and clarity.

    options i've tried:

-i already tried removing and putting back the ram

-i checked if there are any loose screws in the fan area and heatsink area, there's none

-i pressed power button for more than 1 minute

-i tried plugging my keyboard and mouse, both didn't receive any power as the RGB light from my keyboard and mouse didn't light

none of them works. no response from my laptop. there's still no light coming from the power light indicator/charger light indicator

below is the picture of the inside of laptop:

    update:

laptop opened after i've done these:

    1. removed battery and CMOS. held the power button for more than a minute = DIDN'T OPEN.

    2. with battery removed and CMOS. i plug it in to wall socket through charger = IT OPENED

what could be the problem now?

The Idea of 1. is to drain any static charge on the motherboard and reset BIOS, not to start (open?) the laptop. It won't start without power.

No. 2 is good, now connect the battery and try to boot with battery and power adapter. If that works and the battery is charging you are OK.

Why this happened? Probably applying the thermal paste and disconnecting some parts stopped BIOS from starting and removing CMOS reset BIOS.
