I want to reset/reinstall windows on my W510. I had copied the recovrry partition on my USB which I lost. Now I dont have anything to reset it. I had deleted partition on my tablet after copying it USB.

Please help me find a way to reset or to do factory reset.

Thanx.

I just recently did this.  I don't have my tablet handy with me, but for me it was just a matter of plugging in my USB stick (I used the dock), going into Change PC Settings, and going to Recovery.  I don't remember the exact option, but it was the one that didn't delete any personal files.  System rebooted and refreshed Windows without a hitch.

@labayojb does your USB stick had any recovery folder? or it just need USB to do so.

Well, the contents of the USB stick I used:

    \boot

    \efi

    \sources

    bootmgr

    bootmg.efi

    reagent.xml

This was made when I first got the machine, and I also opted to wipe the recovery partition.

Cannot download but can order the set of 2 CDs and a DVD from store.acer.com - select eRecovery and follow the instructions. My last set was U$20.

The problem is that recevoery CD for Singapore and India is not available. I tried on store.acer.com and it showing that there is no CD for my tablet.

I also contacted service center by asking them question and they also replied the same. However they asked me to visite Acer Service Center in Singapore. Currently I am in India and Indian service centre says that OS varies from country to country and they will not be able to help.

I think the best will be to find installation CD Key for the OS so that I can reinstall the entire OS.

What language do you need ? Have seen language packs as options for a Windows install from Windows update. If in India I suspect the disks would get to you faster from the UK than the US unless there is an import/export issue.

I don't understand why they don't make it simpler. All manufacturers have stopped giving recovery media. They save money but we suffer.

The best option would be to contact local Acer support. I sent few mails and posted problem on twitter. Try recovery if you get the option..

If you are in the USA you can purchase a new set of recovery disks from the Acer store. Without the recovery USB or disks it'll be a hassle.
