I need to reinstall my graphic card drivers every time I reboot my laptop (Acer Nitro 5 AN 515-57)

I need to reinstall my graphic card (RTX 3050Ti) drivers every time I reboot my laptop. Happens either after restart or turning off-on again. Tried to completely remove my drivers (either with and w/o DDU) and reinstall them from safe mode, it didn't help.

Windows11 22H2 will replace your GPU drivers if deemed not compatible or if Acer recommends an older version. From where did you download the driver for RTX3050T, here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/?

You cannot change this W11 behavior and DDU can also do nothing. Accept the driver that Windows11 installs. If that causes problems bring your laptop to Acer Services in your country and ask them to check the Geforce GPU card and/or reinstall OEM Windows11. I recommend the latter (reinstall W11).

The thing is, I am still on win10. Tried to install drivers both with Windows itself and with installer, yeah, from Nvidia's site, it didn't help.

  • Hello! Does the driver show up with an error code in device manager?

You are supposed to be on Windows11, according to Acer Support your model is both W10 and W11 compatible, so why don't you upgrade to W11? W11 will sort out that NVIDIA driver issue, click on Check for Updates, and find the upgrade to W11.
