Charging unit for Yoga 500 when googling for a replacement for my model

Hi all,

Can anyone help me determine the AC adapter that would have been supplied with my Yoga 500?

The original charger went faulty a couple of years ago and I got a replacement from my local computer shop, however it's only lasted 2 years before giving intermittent charging. It only charges when in certain positions. I cannot be sure that this was a like-for-like replacement and I would rather buy an original so I know it's the right one. I have the manual that came with it, however there is no description or images.

The one I have now is a 2 pin adapter (Model: ADLX45NDC2A), yet when googling for a replacement for my model, all searches are pointing towards it being a 3 clover adapter.

Any help appreciated.

Rich

    That is a Lenovo laptop, are you on the wrong forum by mistake or is perhaps Lenovo not responding?

    An adapter power mains input can have a 3 pin or 2 pin plug adapter cable, depending what country it is sold; the function of the third pin is grounding and has no bearing on the DC output to your Yoga 500 laptop.

    I also believe that the correct power adapter for the Yoga 500 A275 is NOT the model you have now (20V 3.25A 65W) but:

    ADLX45NLC3A, ADLX45NCC3A or ADLX45NCC2A, 20V 2.25A 45W with yellow tip.

    That adapter you have is too big for the Yoga 500 and is for the ThinkPad.

    @Puraw

    Ha ha, thanks. I have Acer on my mind, it really is a Lenovo. Appreciate the advice anyway, I'll look for what you have stated. Sorry 😀
