Aspire E5 15 ES1-523-41EW - I tried to do a Full Reset and now it won't boot

I have been using Windows 10 and I had installed a lot of programs, and the laptop was running very slow. I decided it would be best to reset and start again.

I went to settings and selected "Reset this PC" and followed all the instructions. All looked good for a while but then the spinning dots started and ran for over 24 hours, which I assumed meant something was wrong. So I forced the shutdown by holding down the power button. Now when I turn on the laptop, I get a blue screen with five options:

1 CONTINUE - Exit and continue to Windows Recovery Environment

2 USE A DEVICE - Use a USB drive, network connection, or windows recovery DVD

3 USE ANOTHER OPERATING SYSTEM - Continue with another installed version of Windows

4 TROUBLESHOOT - Reset your PC or see advanced options (advanced options takes me to another set of options)

5 TURN OFF YOUR PC

It doesn't matter which of the above options I choose, it tells me I don't have any Boot Options in the Boot Manager Menu?

I don't have a Recovery Disc, so I purchased a new Windows 10, but it won't boot from DVD or USB because of not having any Boot Options?

Is there anything I can do from here, or has it become a landfill item?

If you cannot boot to Windows your BIOS Sata setting may have to be changed or your boot loader is missing or corrupted. Boot to BIOS with the F2 key and reset BIOS to factory defaults, save on exit and boot to BIOS again with F2, go to the 2nd last page and see if you now have the Windows boot manager. If still empty you need to reformat and initialize your internal boot drive. Best to bring your laptop to Acer Service in your country and ask them to reinstall OEM Windows10, reset BIOS and all drivers/apps to factory settings. Acer may charge a service fee of $25. When you get the laptop back, first thing to do is buy a 10+ GB USB 2.0, Fat3 formatted flash drive and make a Windows Recovery drive with your laptop.

Thank you, that's good advice, I'm not sure where you are from but here in Australia a service call and fix will be from about $300, definitely not $25 :(

I can buy a second hand Acer on Marketplace for about $150, so if I can't restore this one it will probably end up in the bin (sadly)

Philippines, Acer charges $25 (2 years ago) for reloading your system here, I asked Acer to reload my 4 years old a515-54G after the warranty was expired and was charged nothing. I could not upgrade to W10 21H2 one time and an Acer tech did it remotely online with an ISO image for free😉
