I had an ACER Predator Helios 300 PH-315-53. Last night it turned off suddenly and i was not able to turn it on since then. The next day i took it to out of warranty acer service center, the only one available in my town. according to him my cpu got burnt and will need mother board replacement which will cost around 50k INR. He did not check it properly and said most of it by just opening the back panel there was no power to cpu when adapter was connected. So i took it to third party repair shop to get it checked and he checked properly throughout the mother board and came with the exact same problem.i bought the laptop for 115k which was very expensive for me and only in two years it has stopped working. I never used it on bed or any other place mostly at home on my desk still. Now i don't know what to do as it was my primary device for all my work.

A 2 year old laptop should not have a burned motherboard unless it was overheated many times.

50% of the price of your laptop sounds about right for a new MOBO + labor charges.

If you have the laptop still with you and the technicians did not disconnect or removed anything inside you can try a Power Drain that got many on this forum started again with gaming laptops.

Remove the back of your laptop and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Press the Power button very long (keep it pressed down don't toggle) at least 2 minutes to drain static charge. Wait a while then reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard terminal. close the back and plug in the adapter, see if there is an orange charge LED (flashing or steady) if no LED light the motherboard is probably bad. Turn on the laptop anyway it may work.

motherboard replacement would be done by third party or acer itself.

Is it worth the money, I mean does it gives any Guarantee that it will not happen in future if taken care of.

I am reading some reviews on your model, nice screen Full HD display (IPS, 240 Hz) and quite good battery life. the 10th Gen. i7-10750H CPU clocks at 2,933 MHz (good), I have the same CPU but only get 2667 MHz. Integrated GPU only (NVIDIA)?

It depends how attached you are to your laptop, I have a 4 year old a515-54G and been putting of upgrading to a higher class OLED laptop. The issue with your model and all mid-range gamers is overheating, you need to run it on a 5 fan cooling pad to keep it cool. If it was me I would not invest that kind of money on any used laptop😐️

its not about me being attached but even after taking care of my laptop and in first case buying an expensive laptop (for me it was) it didn't even paid the price (worked just two years) i don't even if i would get something out it.
it was my primary device. not like that i can afford a new one right now.
i am left with nothing for now.
do you know how much i could sell it for or what should i get out of it?

@Haedes I have the same model with same issue and same laptop life (2years). Did you get a work around from this?

The only thing thing i was left with was to replace the motherboard entirely which was around 50-75K
and no i did not get it fixed and i still have that laptop with me.

Haedes, I don’t know if anybody can make you feel better or justify a gaming laptop like the Predator Helios 300 type laptop’s mainboard needing to be changed after 2 years, but and unfortunately these gaming laptops are prone to premature power rail circuitry failures especially in their cpu and gpu voltage protective circuitries like and especially their mosats/capacitors and in their gpu vram, which is the main cause of their failure that burns the cpu’ or gpu out. As when a mosat fails it allows the full 19V high current into the cpu and it shorts it out and destroys it, unfortunately once that happens the cpu can’t be replaced. I really feel for you and how frustrating it must be. Hopefully you will be able to find a used mainboard for a suitable price that is affordable to fix this laptop, as swapping these mainboards is not a big or a hard job and you can do it yourself. Good luck and hope I’ve helped you out.

For your information and if you want to wait and search for a PH315-53 mainboard that might come up on the web for sale and that you can afford, here are all the Predator PH315-53 mainboards that Acer fitted to your laptop and their part numbers on the right:
