Thanks for the answer but I know how to replace the tip.

What I asked is 'Where can you buy replacement tips?' There is no point having instructions when you can't buy a replacement is there?

You basically measure the tip and pick one that has the same size.

Not really helpful unless you can answer:

Where do I pick one from?

What material should it be made of?

Also why can't Acer supply this information or better still what don't they actually sell replacements?

Thanks for the reply but again this isn't really helpful unless you can answer:

    • Where do I pick one from?
    • What material should they be made from?

You need to provide a link to what is a suitable tip to pick from for this 'advice' to be useul. I know exactly the size of the replacement tip as I have the one provided with the stylus, what I don't know is where I can buy more!

It would be so much better if Acer actually sold replacements or at least provided this information themselves!

You haven't told us what laptop you have, so we can't point to any more relevant information.

What laptop I have is totally irrelevant to my question! If you read the topic's title , and my original question, you will see that I am asking about replacement tips for my Acer USI Stylus Pen ASA040 ( https://store.acer.com/en-gb/acer-usi-stylus-pen-asa040-silver-gp-sty11-00d ). If it makes any difference to getting an answer, which it clearly doesn't, I have a Spin CP713-2W.

It seems like no one has an answer, which is fair enough, why people post irrelevant answers is rather perplexing tbh. From my research it appears Acer and many other manufacturers do not supply spare tips but are happy for their customers to throw away a perfectly good stylus in order to force them to buy a new one. Considering how we should really be reusing and recycling this attitude stinks. If I have to buy a replacement it certainly won't be from Acer but from one of the independent stylus manufacturers who do sell replacement parts!

So I looked through the BOM for several CP713-2W SKUs and didn't find the stylus listed in any. We don't have manuals on the stylus itself and I don't have a cross reference for which models use that particular stylus. What users have done in the past is the measure the dimensions of the tip. Here's the image from the previous link:

You need the length and diameter of the narrower portion of the tip. Then search on a venue like Amazon to find a replacement active tip that has the same dimensions. They are pretty generic and a set of several tips isn't too expensive. Acer doesn't sell a replacement tip set, though I wish they either did or provided a source for compatible ones.
