So when I first had this problem , like most I searched up for answers and I looked up the blue light blinking five times and the results were my battery is flat. So next I looked why my computer isn’t charging and the solution was to find a pin hole or something on the bottom. But it’s no where to be found on my nitro 5. So basically I need help trying to get my nitro 5 to charge again and to find some pinhole.

@Hopecook65 for the Nitro 5 model, the battery reset procedure is by holding the power button for 10 secs without the charger plugged in. Also, make sure that the charger is plugged all the way in

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi @Hopecook65

You can try to disconnect the laptop from the charger and then press and hold down the power button for 20 secs. Then connect it back and then try to turn it on.

Hope it will help you in some way.

Have the same issue, blue light on, laptop does not start up, so after all the charger tests I took the battery out and put another battery in, I have two Nitro 5's, and yet, problem remained. (The second Nitro works fine btw, not that someone gets the idea that I put a defect battery in, and the battery from the first Nitro works fine in the second….)

Hence, it might be the motherboard, a short circuit is unlikely since both my laptops are on the same outlet. So try first the easy steps…. Its my second Acer laptop with issues like that, sad.

To the original poster: the Nitro 5 has no pinhole. Some people just use generic templates/blurbs and put it into comments and do not even know that the 5 has no pinhole. Sorry for that Hopecook65. I fell for the same thing, yet here at least you got the proper answer by AnhEZ28 that the reset is done by holding the power button.
