    Which username are you talking about, acer community, Microsoft or what? Give us more details.

    I want to change my forum name.

    2. Click on option edit profile
    3. here you can change your name.

    Dude. @Jules is NOT NOT NOT stating 1 thing that isn't 100% accurate.

    You CANNOT update your username using the steps which YOU OFFERED. So why in the WORLD would you ask them for SCREENSHOTS??

    My apologies, Looks like you do not have EDIT option like we do.

    I am sorry to inform you that your recent comment was edited as it did not comply with the Acer Community User Agreement. Specifically:

    “Be respectful, courteous and polite: Acer will not tolerate the posting of content which is rude, libelous, inflammatory, indecent, vulgar, pornographic, or any comments made in a sexual, racial, cultural or ethnic context. This includes abbreviations and acronyms to evade the word filter.”

    That's cool. I have no problem with that.

    I have purchased 6 of the exact same model Acer Aspires, and each time I try to register them, I get a reply stating it's already been done through my email address.

    Does this sound at all correct to you, Samuel?

    Once again, I'm at the 17th day of owning yet another Acer Aspire A515-46, and it stated the same thing, but when I logged in today after the WINDOWS SECURITY QUIT WORKING, I entered my PC's serial number:
    Version2009OS Build10.0.22000.1936System type Aspire A515-46RAM 3 GB Serial number: NXABRAA0071XXXX and it stated
    "Sorry, we are unable to locate this serial number. Please check your information and try again. Note: product registration is not supported for part numbers (P/N) starting with “BL”."

    Sir, I save every piece of documentation whenever I purchase so much as a small flashlight, and I give you my word that there is absolutely NOTHING that begins with BL that may constitute as this PC's serial number

    I am now humbly requesting for some direction with receiving assistance to fix this issue with the device security. In the past I have called the number provided, explained whatever was occurring with past PC's of this same model, and the men who were supposed to assist me stated they did not know HOW to. WOW!

    I have my late father's group of attorneys' who oversee my Trust, Portfolio, amongst other investments which work along-side of his broker. The very last thing I wanted was to be forced to involve them in this rather large problem, but I have been left to my own devices due to your IT team always telling me they do not know how to help me. I can only hold out hope that you understand why I did have to. The one and only pending thing I need is for somebody to assist me with fixing those PC's security. It's just the pre-installed Windows Defender, but I can't SCAN. I cannot do a thing! I've run troubleshooters and those haven't fixed a thing! My best guess is that something occurred to my TMP, but I followed the steps to clear it and get it reinstalled, and it stated it was successful, but my PC states otherwise.

    I am very sorry to hear this, unfortunately, the Acer Community is not a direct portal to Customer service, the Acer Forum Discussions were designed as a peer-to-peer support community where Acer users help other Acer users. Many Acer employees (Moderators), read the various topics posted here and you will notice that some Acer employees interact with members when appropriate, primarily we want the community to be a place where members can exchange their own advice and ideas.

    Only your local support services can help you with this, the community is not an escalation channel, unfortunately.

    You can also create a new topic by mentioning the issue with your device along with model name. Our community members can surely help you.

    You cannot change your Acer Community Username and I don't recommend requesting to close your account in order to open a new account as you may find that you are indefinitely blocked, happened to me on another forum. 😉
