hi,

i recently did a clean install with Windows 10 straight when I got the machine. I tried to run Sense downloaded from offical Acer support page ( https://www.acer.com/gb-en/support?search=DGE2WEG01822803D189600;DG.E2WEG.018;PO3-640&filter=global_download

Event though it says Windows11…

The app starts, as the service and executables are running, but no UI ever shows up. And I tried other solutions found on this forums and in the web already (like rebuild perfindexs, running the app from the folder as admin)

Doesn't seem to work, acer arc does work btw.

Basicly, all I want to disable the case/fan lights. That's all. I need Pc to work with, not a fckn disco

Hi @sarahhell the equipment is not designed to work with Windows 10, for this reason the drivers may not work correctly or may cause problems, the same happens with Acer applications, they may not work as is the case with Sense.
What is the reason why I downgrade Windows?

Thank you for participating in the Acer community.
    All the best.

Yes, PredatorSense does some really low level stuff, and that would likely break if tried with an unsupported OS like W10.

thanks for response, I downgraded due to software compatibility issues.

I just wanted to ask if someone has Idea. Like I said, the only reason is to turn of the case lights.
And as far as I know the sense software would be the most comfortable way.

Guess there are bypasses, such as registry entries or config files.
But that would require deep knowledge I guess, I could try to figure it out by myself, if the day comes where I can find the time for it.

    Unless someone has an idea

You could just simply take off the side panel and pull out the correct plug on the motherboard that serves the case lights.

Oh, I haven't expected it to be a dedicated plug for lights. Would also do.
You know if it's only one plug for everything?

Not sure if these plugs in the photo also provide the power for the fans as well as for the lights!

Nope, those are just for the lights.
