Having Problems Battery Charge Limit 80% On Nitro 5 AN515-58-76FW

I have a little issue with the Battery Charge Limit feature on my Nitro 5 AN515-58-76FW using Acer Care Center. After enabling the Battery Charge Limit to 80%, the feature keeps turning off automatically after 2-4 days, and I have to manually activate it every time by entering Acer Care Center. I have tried updating the driver through both device manager and Acer support, but the problem still persists. This issue has occurred since I purchased the laptop less than a month ago from the Acer Official Store. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Please don't limit your battery charging process with any program including Acer Care Center; it interferes with BIOS and Microsoft's ACPI battery controller protocol. Either disable Acer Care or completely uninstall it, like I and many others on the forum did. The idea of maximizing the lifespan for a battery is based on an untested theory that Smart Lithium Ion batteries behave the same as the old Nickel Cadmium batteries that had detrimental Charge Memory effects. The new Smart Lithium Ion batteries have no memory effects and can be safely charged to 100% with the power adapter left plugged in 24/7. Bloatware vendors, Acer and even Microsoft unfortunately bought into this battery longevity theory, promoted by online magazines and blogs. I even propose that interfering with BIOS functions by these battery limiting apps may well cause some of the power problems posted lately on this forum.

Again thank you very much for the prompt and helpful replies, especially about the way to reply. I was wondering how that all worked! Ok I will get a new power adapter and see how I go. I had tried to measure the voltage of the battery with a multimeter when I removed it but the pins are so small that its hard to get a measure. Anyways if the new adapter doesn't work I will get a new battery and follow your advice. Will let you know how it goes. I know where to get the battery if needed.

Again, you have been very helpful. Thank you.
