Every time I hit sign in, it won't log in, it just plays and keeps repeating it. How do I solve it?

    Hi,

    Could you please post the full model name of the laptop, like A3xx-xx, in the meantime, you could try a battery reset, look at the base cover for a pinhole for reset, if you find one, turn off the laptop and disconnect from mains, use a paper clip to perform reset, do not press too hard, gently press, leave the laptop to rest for 15 Minutes, reconnect AC adapter and fully charge the battery before start using it.

    Can you see on the screen what you are typing? If notyou have a keyboard problem. Start your laptop while pressing the F2 key and in BIOS press Ctrl+s to see the advanced BIOS settings then change the following settings

    • Enable USB Support

    • Disable Fast Boot

    Reboot and try again to sign in. If still no text while typing, go back to BIOS (F2):

    • Reset BIOS to factory setting, save and reboot

    @Shandy2

    On the sign in screen , type a incorrect password

    You will see power button on the bottom or top right corner of screen

    click on power button - It will show you sleep shutdown and restart options

    On the keyboard on lower left corner - press and hold the shift key , keep holding the shift key and click on restart on the power buton

    It will go to chose an option , continue, troubleshoot options screen

    Go to troubleshoot, advanced options, click on system restore

    Restore the computer to an earlier date on which it was working fine.

    @Shandy2

    Kindly go through the info given on step 1 and step 2. You can even try step 2 without trying step 1

    Step 1

    By clicking on startup settings - click on restart - chose 5 or press 5 on keyboard - It will take you to safe mode with networking. Try to login and check. If you are able to login to safe mode with networking - Try windows + r - type msconfig - go to services - check the box - hide all microsoft services - click disable all and enable all - Go to general tab - chose normal startup - apply and ok. It will restart to regular mode.

    Step 2

    Instead of clicking on startup settings - click on arrow ( left arrow with circle ) - go to troubleshoot - reset this pc - keep my files - chose the user account - type the password - It will repair your computer. Login to computer and use it.

    Click on UEFI firmware settings (that is your BIOS) and change the following:

    • Enable USB Support
    • Disable Fast Boot

    Reboot and try again to sign in. If still no text while typing, go back to UEFI (BIOS) as you did above

    • Reset BIOS to factory setting, save and reboot

    It's Aspire 3 A 314-22.

    I've tried that solution, but still can't sign

    Bring/send your laptop to Acer Services, you may have a BIOS Password issue, a small Service Fee of $25 is normally charged (and shipping costs)😉
