Helios 300 (PH315-52-54KC) Kernel-Power 41 BSOD When Gaming Anyone know how to fix this?

When I play any game on my laptop, within a few minutes from starting, I get a BSOD (Kernel-Power 41, BugcheckCode 239). This happens every time I start up a game but it works fine after the reboot. After I shut down the laptop then turn it on and start a game again, it BSODs again. Anyone know how to fix this?

I already updated all my drivers and Windows 11, ran Windows Memory Diagnostics, SFC /scannow, no errors are shown. My CPU and GPU temps are also around 70 when I play so they aren't overheating.

Additionally, no dump files are ever saved when this BSOD pops up. Also, after it reboots, my Bluetooth disappears.

    These are the descriptions for those BSOD errors:

    Kernel Power Error 41 - occurs due to an underpowered or faulty power supply problem. You need to make sure that your system has sufficient wattage to handle the installed devices appropriately. Additionally, consider acquiring a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) such as a battery backup power supply.

    BugcheckCode 239 - is a power error. Definitive diagnosis may be done by oscilloscope or by replacing components. Problem may be in motherboard too. Long gaming is not the only cause, because this error may occur during changes in CPU power modes. You may try to turn off power CPU's saving options in Acer Care Centre and all power savings settings, you need to run your laptop on full power.

    With the BT, reinstall it again, and ONLY install the Acer oem Version: 20.110.0.3 driver, as allot of the new Intel BT drivers are buggy and have allot of faults, also update to the last bios Version: 1.12. Do all the above as your charger and power supply to your laptop is faulty and also make sure that all Windows Updates are up to date, NVidia drivers (uninstall the last NVidia drive always) before updating to the new driver, as that is why you get these BSOD blue screens and crashes.

    So the BSOD stopped for a few days, but now it's back with a different error.

    It's now BugcheckCode 340 and the BSOD says "UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION", but it still only happens when gaming.

    Any way to diagnose this?

    HI @CBro are all the drivers you have installed provided by Acer or have you installed any directly from the manufacturer of any device?

    The latest drivers were updated by the Intel Driver Assistant and Nvidia.

    I only recommend installing the drivers provided by Acer for your model and updating only through Windows Update.
    If you can't find a solution, try uninstalling the NON-Acer drivers and installing only the Acer drivers and see if the problem is resolved.

    Is there a way to know which driver might be causing the issue? I don't want to mess around with uninstalling drivers and end up making it worse like bringing back the Bluetooth or display problems.

    Or should I just suck it up and reset it and stick to Windows 10? 😓

    Do you remember downloading and installing any drivers other than from Acer's download page?

    The Intel Driver Assistant installed a lot of drivers but I'm not sure which ones since I just let it run

    Usually it's the graphics driver.

    So I decided to reset my laptop and it worked fine for a while but now the BSOD when gaming came back.

    Could this be a hardware problem?

    Are the drivers all the ones that Windows installed in the new installation or did I download any from Intel?

    If it is still not working then we have to do a refresh and reset

    click on start - settings - update and security - recovery - reset this pc - get started 

    or 

    on start - type here to search - type reset this pc - click on reset this pc on the top  - click on get started 

    It will show you keep my files and remove everything
    chose keep my files 
    chose the account - type the password - click on local reinstall - click on reset 
    It will be in progress.. 
    login to computer and start using the computer. 
    If it is still not working 

    click on start - settings - update and security - recovery - reset this pc - get started 
    chose remove everything 
    click on local reinstall - just remove my files - click on reset
    It will be in progress

    Note:

    If you do refresh ( keep my files ) -  all your personal files like pictures, music , documents , videos  will still be intact.   Only the applications will be lost

    If you do reset  ( remove everything )  - you are doing a factory default.   It will become like a day one computer.    It will wipe out everything and take your computer to day one like a new computer. 

    You can also do the recovery in an alternative way..

    There are two alt keys on the keyboard.  If you look at the bottom row of keyboard you can see the one on the left side of space bar and the other on the right side of space bar.  The alt key on the right side will be looking like alt, alt gr or alt car.  Turn off the computer.  Hold the alt key on the left and tap f10 continuously.   It will go to repair mode. It will show you chose an option, continue, troubleshoot.   If it is not going to repair mode, turn off the computer.  Turn on the computer.  Hold the right alt key ( alt gr or alt car or alt )  and then tap f10 continuously.  It will go to chose an option continue and troubleshoot..

    It will show you chose an option, continue, troubleshoot
    Go to troubleshoot  -  click on reset this pc
    click on keep my files  ( only applications will be lost )   chose your account and type your password   - click on local reinstall  - click on reset
    It will be in progress 

    If the keep my files option is not working 

    Go to troubleshoot  -  click on reset this pc – click on remove everything – click on local reinstall – just remove my files – click on reset 
    It will reinstall windows. 

    If the just remove my files is not working..

    Go to troubleshoot  -  click on reset this pc – click on remove everything – click on local reinstall – Fully clean the drive – click on reset 
    It will reinstall windows. 

    Note: You can also go to chose an option , continue , troubleshoot by holding the alt key + tapping f10  or alt gr + tapping f10 on the keyboard while turning on the computer.    Once you see the troubleshoot option, you can stop tapping the f10 and stop holding the alt key.    Then you can try the keep my files and remove everything ( just remove by files and fully clean the drive ) by following the steps which was mentioned above. 

    Please try keep my files, just remove my files, fully clean the drive one by one and check. We need to determine whether it is a hardware or software issue. Try keep my files and then work for a while. If it is still not working then try just remove my files and work for a while. If it is still not working then try fully clean the drive. If it is still not working then it might be a hardware issue.

    @Alejandro_AC, just from Windows, I didn't install the Intel Driver Assistant anymore.

    @William_mk2, the reset I did was a fully clean one already so do I have to do these all over again?

    According to MS Answers forum frequent BSODs with Kernel-41 errors may indicate that it is the device driver on your NVIDIA or Intel graphics card that is causing the system to crash.

    You should completely remove both the Intel HD 630 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB 80W OC (GeForce 445.75) drivers with the free DDU v18.0.5.4 utility in Safe Mode, then restart your laptop and download the applicable GPU driver from Intel’s and NVIDIA’s Driver support pages or reboot and let Windows11 install compatible GPU drivers. I don’t recommend Intel’s Driver & Support Assistant, I downloaded my (a515-54G/2019) Windows10 22H2 GPU manually from the Intel Driver Support page (hassle with Intel’s codes but got a compatible one at the end). My GPU drivers are now updated by W11 22H2.

    I understand you already did the fully clean the drive. There is no need to try keep my files, remove everything - just remove my files and fully clean the drive again.

    Try this method as the last option.

    On a different working computer. 

    Go to the website 
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10
    Below the info Create Windows 10 installation media
    click on download tool now.. 
    It will download the windows media creation tool  - click on media creation file on the lower left corner.
    Insert a blank 8 gb flash drive 
    it will download and install the windows 10 on the blank flash drive..  Kindly use atleast a 8 gb usb flash drive to download windows 10

    Now insert the flash drive on the broken computer

    Tap f2 for laptop and del for desktop while turning on the computer
    It will go to bios
    Go to main
    change the f12 boot menu to enabled
    Go to boot tab or boot options tab
    change the settings
    Boot mode: UEFI
    Secure boot : Enabled
    F10 - Save the changes
    Try f12 while turning on the computer.
    It will go to boot menu
    chose the usb

    Boot it using flash drive..
    click on install
    chose custom
    on where do you want to install windows screen - remove all the partitions
    It will become like one single unallocated space  
    There is no need to format it.. 
    chose the unallocated space 
    click on next 
    It will install the operating system.
