Will a 4090 Ventus 3x OC fit into the PO5-640 case?

Hello.

Does anyone know the answer to the above question? Currently have a msi ventus 3x oc 4090 on the way and a PO5-640 with a 3080 in it atm. Will it fit instead of the 3080? Also any PSU recommendations to replace the acer one with ? (currently a "noname" or, well, their default 800w psu). Also i noticed the 3080 has a gpu bracket, will i need one for my 4090 as well? Will the one on the 3080 work for the 4090 too? Could i place it "vertically" instead of horizontally?

Thanks in advance.

PS: sorry, i posted this in the den as well, but figured it was more suited here. If it's against forum rules, please delete the other post from den since i can't seem to be able to do it myself.

The card will fit, you'll probably need to remove the right bracket which attaches to the case. I used a Asus thor 1200w which is made by seasonic and never had any coil whine or issues with the 4090s i tried in the predator chassis, also you may need a anti sag stand to place under the right of the card if you're not vertically mounting it.

Measure your current card and compare it with the card you bought. Then look how much space you have left. If the card fits, I believe it to be a very tight fit.

MSI Ventus (taken from TechPowerUp's GPU database)

    • Length 322mm, width 136mm, height 63mm
    • TDP 450W
    • Suggested PSU 850W

Depending on the PSU you buy, the 12VHPWR PCIe adapter that comes with the card can be quite combersome and doesn't like to be bent. Could be that you can no longer close the side panel at all. Thankfully there are aftermarket adapters and cables out there like THIS.

As for a PSU recommendation, your life would be easier of you went for a ATX 3.0 PSU that has 12VHPWR connector on it. Below is just one for a reference and by no means to be taken as my recommnedation. As for wattage I'd go for a 1000W or even higher PSU at this time. A good PSU last at least a decade and comes with a solid warranty.

Decided to go with a Seasonic Vertex 1000w 3.0 atx. I'll check dimensions when i open my pc on monday before going to pick up the products. Hopefully it's enough so it doesn't require the Cablemod adapter or i'll have to wait even longer to get that as well.

Wish i could find the size of the acer 3080 online so i don't have to measure it myself, but tried to no avail.

Seasonic is a very good brand and I have used them solely for the last 20+ years. They also make some top of the line models for other name brands as well.
