Triton 500 SE RTX 3070ti dGPU can't use external monitor

i tried using a USB-C to DP 1.4 cable to connect to my monitor, but the laptop only uses the iGPU. Nvidia control panel has auto and dGPU disabled, due to output to an external monitor. Tried both USB-C ports.

Does this laptop not support external monitors with the RTX 3070ti? That would be a huge deal breaker and I'd have to return this.

Nevermind, it's fixed. Confirmed VRR works as well through TB4. Had to install monitor drivers and restart.

Initially MSI afterburner was showing that the iGPU was being used to render and of course the FPS was crawling. Never had to install monitor drivers before to enable switching of GPUs, which shouldn't be monitor dependent.

TB4→DP still shows in windows as using the iris graphics and nvidia control panel is stuck on optimus, so the demux switch doesn't work with TB4. The HDMI seems to be connected directly to the dGPU which shows up in windows, but unfortunately VRR doesn't work through HDMI.
