Why won't my Orion 3000 P03-630 turn on?

I have an Orion 3000 P03-630 that was working fine yesterday, however this morning it will not power up at all. I've changed the fuse, tried a different source of power & an alternative cable but nothing is happening at all. Appreciate any advice or if this has happened to others before.

With laptops it is a fairly common issue often caused by static electricity buildup on the MOBO, don't know about desktops, could be the power supply, bring it back to the shop or to Acer Services.

Take out the small flat battery on the board for 5 minutes , put it back in and try.

There is not a lot to the power circuit on those. The power button is just a contact closure when pressed and it provides the PS_On signal to the MB that then tells the PSU to turn on. Do you get anything at all when you press the button? Any lights anywhere? Do you have the tools to test voltages and resistance?

First, verify the power cord is fully seated. :) If it's not, push it all the way in and try again.

Next look at the CPU fan, does it try to spin up when you press the power button? If it starts to spin but shuts down almost immediately, let us know and we'll start diagnosing form there.

Next, test at the connector on the MB where the power switch plugs in. Is the switch working (you will need a VOM or equivalent tester)? If the switch isn't working it should be replaced.

Next pull the power connectors off the MB and jumper the PS_On signal on the six pin connector to ground to see if the PSU will turn on by itself. If the PSU works on it's own then it's likely a MB issue.

Yeah, if you are still in warranty let them fix it for you.
