my i just bought an aspire 7 came with pre installed 11 will it affect and void warranty?

i'm not sure if windows 10 will activate itself when there's a windows 11 home license stored to motherboard

but it's pretty scary for me to try but i don't like windows 11 it because of eating too much cpu ended up lagging even there's no application open i spinned a cursor it lagged but it wasn't the mouse lagging nor touchpad the screen itself is laggy all i do is restart but i felt uncomfortable with windows 11 am i able to downgrade back to windows 10 with my USB??

I strongly recommend that you don't downgrade your Windows11 laptop for the following reasons:

    • You will get drivers issues in Windows10.
    • Windows 11 is superior to W10, faster, better security, fast and flawless monthly updates and will maintain all your drivers.
    • Windows 11 is a more robust platform; very stable (no more crashes, hangs or BSODs) and zero Event errors/warnings.
    • W10 will expire in Q4 2025 at which time you will have to upgrade again to W11 and that may require a fresh install (hassle).

Your criteria for downgrading are not valid: W11 22H2 is not consuming more resources than W10, you must have a bunch of bloatware and unnecessary apps running like AV (not needed with W11 Defender) Office365 trial (uninstall that and get Office Prof. Lifetime for $49) and a bunch of Start programs that you need to disable. All gadgets and "looks" in W11 can be tweaked or disabled; W11 is more flexible than W10, improved BT, HDR streaming, virtual desktops and much better gaming. Don't just take my word but browse the web on this topic. For older W10 laptops it may not be advisable to upgrade but you have a brand new W11 machine, it does not make sense to downgrade that!

Post back your W11 issues after you feel you know your way around W11 (takes a month), fixed the above points, also disabled all telemetric (Windows store updates, Acer updates, etc.). Check in Programs what app/program you don't know or don't need and uninstall those. Go online and run: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth in Command Prompt opened as administrator and after successful completed run again in Command Prompt (opened as administrator) SFC /scannow

This may end with "corrupted files found and repaired", run SFC /scannow again till you get "no integrity violation found".

Type Storage Sense in Search box and run that, click on the Temporary files icon and you may see several TBs of old Windows update files, delete everything. Finally trim or defrag your SSD/HDD (optimize drives)😉

Hi @Daddy_Francisco the computer is compatible with Windows 10 but I do not recommend that you downgrade.
If the reason is consumption, Windows 11 manages processor and graphics consumption better than Windows 10, I don't think it will improve with Windows 10.
Regarding the warranty, you will have to check directly with Acer in your area to find out the warranty terms in this case and if it will honor the Windows 11 license on Windows 10.
First of all, please update Windows 11 by simply going to Windows Update.
Also make sure that you do not install incompatible applications or a security application that consumes in the background.
Also check the power mode in the control panel, you can adjust from low consumption in the "Balanced or economic" mode to "maximum performance".

    Thank you.
    All the best.
