What SATA SSD did you get a 2.5" as the Samsung 8xx SSD series drives are very good and durable I’ve been using a Samsung 850 EVO for at least 5 years and its still going strong, but the PH315-54 can also have a SATA B&M end key M.2 SSD and Acer suggests the following SATA M.2 drives are for this laptop:

    It is a Samsung 870 Series, 1TB.

Got it on sale for $65.00. Could not pass it up.

I got the 1 TB Samsung 870 SATA SSD from the Military Exchange. By the way, they price match with Amazon. ($65.00) It would have been around $108.00 at the Exhange price.

More recently I bought a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro M2 NVME drive at Best Buy for only $79.99 (+tax). That was $50.00 off the ususal price of $129.99. That was on May 11th.

I plan to replace my original M2 NVME Samsung OEM drive, with the genuine article.

Keep your eyes open. Never know when or where a sale will pop up.
