hi. recently bought an acer nitro an515-57. ive encountered this quiet a few times now. while working, the screen would be split into multiple black screens. when i right click the mouse, it shows two screens of the original one ive been working on. the first few times only lasted a few seconds for it to come back to normal but yesterday its gotten longer. any idea (someone told me maybe its crashing bcos of the apps and with only 8gb ram but i recently got a ram upgrade but this still happens) whats happening and what to do?

Open Device Manager. If no red or yellow warnings, expand the display adapters folder. Right click and uninstall both drivers. Exit Device Manager without re-installing anything. Shut down Windows normally. Wait a few moments. Then turn machine back on and let Windows auto re-detect the adapter hardware and auto install fresh copies of their drivers.

Open Control Panel. Search 'restore point'. Click 'create a restore point' in the left pane. If System Protection is turned on in the box that pops up, click System REstore button. Click next. Do you see an automatic restore point with a date time stamp within the last few days?

The restore point seems to be dated March 4th unless you're in a country that reverses month & day to April 3rd. When did you acquire the machine.

Also, yes, as @egydiocoelho suggested, check BIOS version number by pressing WIN+R. Enter 'msinfo32'. BIOS version number will be listed in right pane

Open Device Manager. Expand display adapters folder. Right click the intel adapter properties. Click driver tab and post screenshot if possible. Then right click nvidia adapter properties. Click driver tab and post its screenshot

No. Click propeetie on bottom of menu. Then post screenshot of driver tab in the next box that pops up.

There are newer ACER Intel UMA & nvidia 3050ti video VGA drivers at this link. However, before trying them , download and run iobit"s DriverBooster freeware to see if it can pick up any newer better drivers on line that will resolve the issue.
