    Hello!!

    @Aroon

Install CPU-z and find out the make and model of your current 8GB module, get a module to match the specs of the RAM and install, you have two slots (one occupied by current 8GB RAM), you need DDR4, 2133/2400MHz memory module.
Open the memory hatch at the back, insert the module at an angle and gently push down until the retainer clips click.
    https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

he one you have at the moment is a 2400MHz module, it shows 1200MHz in CPU-z because it's a Double Data Rate(DDR 4) module, so no need to replace it
You can install another 4GB module to make the total of 8GB.
Have a look at mine, it shows as 1200MHz but in fact it's a 2400MHz module.

The Acer Nitro 5 -AN515-51 supports DDR4 type RAM.
    DIMM Type:- DDR4 2133/2400 SODIMM
    Memory interface design: • DDR4 SODIMM slot x 2 •
Maximum memory is up to 32GB

Hi @Aroon Your device supports a maximum of 32GB of memory in two slots with the following characteristics: DDR4 2133/2400

I leave you the screenshots of the service manual and as an example, a link from one of the memory manufacturers (Crucial) with the modules compatible with your equipment:

    https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/nitro-5-an515-51

    Thank you,
    All the best.

    Hi @Alejandro_AC and @LunaNova14,

I much appreciate those comments from both of you. Any make you think is best. Please let me know. Would Crucial do it?

Crucial is fine, but you have other brands, Kingston, for example:

    https://www.kingstonmemoryshop.co.uk/laptop/acer/nitro-5-an515-51-series/acer-nitro-5-an515-51-57dk-laptop

Knowing the codes that appear on the Crucial or Kingston website, you can search for those codes in online stores in case they offer better prices.
If you decide to buy other brands, confirm with the seller the compatibility with your model or the easy return of the module in case of any problem.
    Greetings.
