Make sure you completely shut down your PC, don't use hibernate or Fast Startup in Windows

Check if your USB drive is bootable on another Windows PC

If this is a USB Flash drive, check if it is USB 2.0 or 3.01 and are you using it in the correct port?

Try another botable USB drive to see if that shows in your BIOS

The USB is bootable (have used it earlier to boot from).

The issue is that (as topic say) the option is not even available in BIOS. There is only 1x boot option to choose in BIOS. So I wonder how come but primarily, how to fix this?

    Thanks

Did you try all the other USB ports on your PC, each time shutting down the PC?

Have you upgraded your Windows version after you created the USB Recovery Flash drive?

If you reply to someone pls type @Puraw or whoever or use the Quote link at the bottom otherwise we won't see your question.

Is secure boot enabled and did you reset your BIOS to factory setting?

Again, this is about the option is not listed in BIOS. Why would switching yhe USB between different USB port affect this?

I have tested to turn off (and then on) secure boot & resetted BIOS, without any success.

Appreciate the support but, why isnt the option in BIOS? And how to get it there? Im used to see a bunch of options there from earlier laptops Ive use through life.

    Thanks

There are USB 2.0 and 3.01 flash drives, your laptop has 2.0 and 3.01 USB ports if the USB drive is in the wrong USB port it won't be detected in BIOS (check this forum, last week 2 threads had this issue with the wrong USB port used). Always leave BIOS on "secure boot enabled". I think you are doing something wrong, The only other possibilty is that your firmware is corrupted in that case bring your laptop to Acer to reinstall latest firmware, drivers and OS. You may want to take out your SSD and connect it to a (cheap) USB cable to transfer your personal files to another PC, then reformat the external SSD drive and put it back for Acer for checking.

Again, the USB works perfectly fine to boot from, have used it for that earlier on other laptops.

But Im starting to get worried of your replies, like:

"The only other possibilty is that your firmware is corrupted in that case bring your laptop to Acer "

Appreciate if you get back with a more serious response. All you have written is done, the USB is compatible and also tested on both this and another computer earlier. I see the same question yes but also some poor response when what you want to be the cause is not the case.

Have hard time to believe all left would be to send it into Acer. Strongly reason that Acer should have an answer/fix to this without taking it in.
