I use a USB to boot and i want to uninstall Windows and only have Proxmox but i dont understand why my USB dont see my SSD.
I use a Acer aspire 3 model: a315-56-52R4.

There is some of my BIOS configuration. I already try AHCI but dosent work. In the photos i didn't have my USB connected but have the priority to boot.

You can indeed run Linux off an external SSD.

Now you can use the USB thumb drive to install Proxmox on your computer.

I also had this problem ON ACER SPIN7...

You need to go to BIOS> Main, press ctrl + s to show hidden options and change Sata Mode: to AHCI

    Worked for me...

Mouse pad also would not work with GParted, Proxmox, so in same hidden options, changed 'function key behaviour' from Media key to 'Function Key'. Then reboot and press Fn + F6 or
