Hi @Ramizovski24 did you download the file from acer or run it on a domain?
What BIOS version do you have?
The latest update for that computer is 2.18 of the year 2014 for Windows 8.1 at 64 bits.
What version of Windows do you have installed?
The official BIOS update file is available at the following address:

    https://www.acer.com/us-en/support?search=Aspire%20V5-471G&filter=global_download&suggest=V5-471G;1

    Thank you.
    All the best.

Hi @Alejandro_AC My current bios version is 1.21, Windows 8.1, and yeah I downloaded latest BIOS update 2.18 in the official website of acer, when I'm trying to update I'm getting the error "DNS name does not exist" :((

Sorry, your particular model seems to have a Win7 era legacy BIOS only mainboard Thus, you cannot install UEFI BIOS v 2.xx firmware. Only v1.xx. If your machine seems to be working OK on v1.21, I suggest that you leave it alone and not try to change it to v1.22.

Just in addition to all the good advice above, there is no Legacy Acer 1.21 bios version there is only a Legacy 1.20 and 1.22 versions for the Aspire V5-471G. To change your V5-471G to the UEFI format, you need to do a bios reprogram if your Aspire V5-471G has one, as I own an Aspire V3-571G that when I bought this laptop had a Legacy bios only but and when the UEFI bios versions of these laptops were released, there was a UEFI bios reprogram guide for my Legacy V3-571G that upgraded the Legacy bios into the UEFI bios and I could flash the bios to the 2.xx bios versions. Have a look online if there is a V5-471G UEFI bios reprograming guide, as that is the only way that you can upgrade this laptop to run the UEFI format drive that is a better bios for Win-10.
