Acer Spin 513 shuts down instead of sleeping ...

I have ensured the settings indicate to sleep (instead of shut down).

But every time the device has sat for a while with the screen off, both plugged in and not, and when lots of battery remaining, and when running nothing intensive, I find that I have to press the power button to start it again and it always does a fresh boot and restores all the windows/apps.

Put differently, it seems to always shutdown instead of sleep.

How about the other settings like on the screen above?

Also check you battery condition, how many charge cycles it had (how old), create a battery report in Windows, type or paste the following in the Command prompt:

    powercfg /batteryreport /output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\battery_report.html

Open the file (double click) on your Desktop and compare Full Charged Capacity with the Designed Capacity, if very low buy a new battery ($50)

    Hi @Chris67W

Sorry, I did not realize this is a Chromebook, maybe there is a Google app to check your battery?
