After shutdown, long press power button for 10-15 seconds. Then short press power button to turn machine on.

If your laptop is under warranty still? Then send it back to Acer support, don't open it or do anything to your laptop and let Acer fix this issue.

If the laptops warranty has expired then do a Hard Reset by taking the main battery out, disconnect the BIOS battery and take the ram out, leave all components disconnected for 15min and then reconnect everything, if you have 2x ram modules only connect 1x ram module first and reboot laptop and see if its boots, as this will rest the super IO and bios chips. If this does not fix your laptop its either your power switch on the keyboard, its a battery issue, charger issue or its an internal circuitry issues in the power/charging stages of this laptops mobo, which need analysing and appropriate chips changed by an experienced technician. These laptop do have power on issues but in 99% of cases a hard reset fixes these issues, I had the same problem with my Nitro AN515-57and did the hard rest and never ever had this problem again.

    Hi @iqbal25

In my case it was a wrong model (main) battery (capacity not compatible?) althoug the model is included in the Acer list for compatible batteries. Once I installed the same model that came with my laptop no more power up issues.

To check this, disconnect the battery cable and replace the laptop back cover (without screws), plug in your power adapter and see if you can turn on your laptop, without a battery, with the power button, if that works you need to replace the battery.

    1. Long press power button for about 5 seconds and laptop should shut off.
    2. Then unplug charger.
    3. Then long press power button again for 60 seconds.
    4. Plug charger back in.
    5. Wait for battery charge LED to turn steady blue.
    6. Then short press power button to try to turn machine on again.
