Hold the ALT Key and tap the F10 at boot.

The Acer restore key is Alt + F10. These keys are used to restore system to factory defaults if the system failure due to virus/hacker/malware attacks, software errors, wrong operations, hardware corruption, etc.Dec 5, 2022

Using diskpart I can see there is no OEM partitition, just a 1GB partition label “restore” ..
@ just 1GB I guess that is to do with windows and not a factory reset/restore ?

    Heyho ..

    Just do an ALT-F10

    Factory Restore or

    Here's how to do it:

    1. In the search box on your laptop, type Recovery, then click Acer Recovery Management.
    2. Click Recovery Management.
    3. In Acer Care Center, click Get started next to Reset your PC.
    4. Click Remove everything.
    5. Click Just remove my files or Remove files and clean the drive depending on your needs.
    6. Click Reset.

Ok got the alt-f10 working .. Wireless keyboard was the prob ..

There is no “image” file on the sys, what option do I select to get it back to out of the box restore or is this just a Win10 restore ?

    Thanks ..

At F10 there is no “Factory Restore” but there is are 2 restores options ie: clean or keep files etc ..
I will try the clean but have to backup what I want to keep ..

Thanks for your time .. Appreciated ..

Yes, I just noticed that on my TC-895.

I think that I formatted my boot drive the last time and did a restore.

I had a system Backup on a USB Hard Drive so it restored that file.

You can always wipe it and do a https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d

Are there any Acer specific drivers/apps to enable a rapid start, faster, snappier OS ..
As always with a PC had gradually got slower and slower over time (chocked up no doubt) so I tried that keep files restore but no change ..
I was just hoping there was an OEM restore option but I believe there is only a Win10 restore option ..
Anywho I'll try the full reset ..

What is your hard drive ?

    What is your RAM size,?

What is your start-up programs that are enabled in Task Manager ?

Resets will do wonders. I don't know wht ACER doesn't have the full factory default option anymore ??

If you don't have a SSD boot drive then don't expect a fast boot.
