Help! I tried to do a system recovery on my acer aspire model number MS2361, but during the process my daughter turned off my laptop. So now it is just stuck on startup screen saying, “preparing automatic repair” and “diagnosing your pc” I cant find my recovery disk for it, but I know it is running on windows 8 or 10

@Gels4girls wait for the diagnosing your pc screen, select the advanced options, troubleshoot, and choose reset this PC if it has to fully reset the Windows.

@Gels4girls so even if you try to force turning off the laptop and then turn on again, it will stuck at the diagnostic screen forever?

@Gels4girls Have you tried Hard Reboot?

A hard reboot is when you press and hold the power button to power off the computer.

Hard reboot your computer and repeat the process a couple of times. Usually, it takes two consecutive system reboots within two minutes of boot completion for your computer to boot into Windows RE.

Your computer will display the Recovery screen that reads, “It looks like Windows didn’t load correctly,” At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a button to See advanced repair options. Click on it to enter Windows RE.(If it doesnt enter into RE mode after fordce shutdown for two times try one more time it should enter RE mode)

This is the info I got from other forums, and it worked on my old laptop for a similar case.

are you sure the windows recovery environment is enabled on your PC
    to make sure

reagent /info // to check whether windows RE is enabled or not

    reagent /enable
in your case may be you may not have the windows OS startup done as per your messages

Please let me know if this helps or now

    Thanks
