I am trying to open a file with a .jpgenx extension. From what I understand this encryption from a pre installed application on my Acer laptop. No such extension can be opened on this laptop and I would like to know where I can download this so I can reinstall and open these files.

A search to a previous discussion showed the Acer eDataSecurity Management was available for download, but that link is broken and I do not know if that is even the program I need.

It looks like various versions of eDataSecurity Management are out on a number of download sites. IIRC it was a Windows 7 program though and hasn't been supported since then, so it might have issues with the newer OSes. It's so old that Acer likely doesn't have any active links to it.

I have the computer it was originally pre installed on, with windows vista. Surely there's a way to convert these .jpgenx files, no? Or download the acer utility used to encrypt these and decypt them?

    anything?

A search for eDataSecurity Management can find versions of it archived outside of Acer's support site. I would only install it long enough to convert them back to jpg files then remove it so you don't end up with other files in the format.
