Intermittent Charger Connectivity Issues with Acer Predator Helios 300 G3 571 77QK

I have a Predator Helios 300 G3 571 77QK, 2017 model with GTX 1060. My laptop charger seems to be experiencing intermittent connectivity issues. It disconnects and reconnects every 10 seconds or so. This problem had occurred in the past and stopped for a while, but it has resurfaced after a few months. The charger is continuously plugged in. I don't think my electricity.

The Charging light on the side that is Orange in color goes outs too. What could be the issue here? It's so annoying because the charging sound comes in every 10 seconds and the brightness reduces every 10 seconds. It happened before and suddenly stopped. It's back again.

I timed it, It charges from anywhere between 11 to 15 seconds, then it goes out for about 7 to 9 seconds, then it charges again. It's a nonstop loop of this. I can do any test if you guys want.

Give me a solution, it's driving me nuts.

    There is no magic cure for the problem that you are having, as its either the actual charger plug when its cord wires at the plug is partially broken or broken all together and its partially making contact with the charger plug and giving you these on/off charging symptoms, or its your actual laptops DC-IN CABLE at either its side plug port or the mobo plug or its cable, which can be changed with a new DC-IN CABLE (see part numbers below) which usually this ports plug gets worn out, from the charger plug being inserted and taken out so many times, and either its outside negative pins get worn or pushed in and don’t make full contact or its middle positive pin get worn the same way.

    Check all that our as below are the DC-IN CABLE that you need and where this cable is and plugs into the mobo. If these two things are not the problem then its an internal issue that you need to get an experienced tech to look at your laptop as there are circuitry components that need changing.

    G3-571 two different types of DC-IN CABLES, check which one you have and replace if its damaged.

    You always give me solutions like I paid you for it, thank you.

    But I don't think it's the port or the plug, if it was then I would get this issue frequently right? I slapped the laptop and the cable and the problem was actually there.

    It's now stopped, what I did was remove the cable and let my laptop drain to 10%, I plug it back in and it's working normally, I am sure it will return tho. Is there any way I can make sure it's the plug or port without buying a new one?

    😁 yes the advice that I give you is just “Advice” as I don't have to fix it myself, as then it would cost you and it will be different 😁 as fixing is where the main cost is 😁

    Now, if you slapped the charger plug and the on/off problems is still there then its at the charger and at that end of the cord plug, as this plug must have a wires lose or broken inside the connection to the charging plug. All chargers that either have a usual round plug or a USB-C charging plug have 3x wires connected to that plug, a 1 + and a 1 - and a 1 data cable, if any of these wires are lose or have broken solder or broken in half then they might still make contact when you move them as they are in confined space, and you will get the symptoms on/off that you get. Check that connection or use another charger as I'm sure that if you use a different charger this will go away.

    It's actually back again, when I remove the charger for like 30 mins and plug it back in it doesn't disconnect for some time, then it gradually keeps disconnecting and connecting until the 15 seconds, 9 second loop.

    replace the charger using a compatible one available in computer stores

    bring the unit for testing

    At this point either its the charger or the laptop itself that has gone bad. Take it to service center or atleast a PC store to check it out with another charger. Or if any of your friends have Acer laptop charger borrow it and check it out.

    The issue with taking it to the service center is that it there is a good chance the issue stops when I get there.

    Then get another Acer laptop charger from friends/family/PC store and test it out. If its a charger problem, buy new one from Amazon or Retailer. If its laptop problem then service center guys will diagnose it. Otherwise how else you expect to solve this problem?
