Hi, I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54.

For a few weeks now I have been presenting failures in the audio of my laptop. One of this is that after a while, based on the tests I have carried out, the audio deactivates the Waves MaxxAudio, causing it to lose sound quality, practically removing the bass.

The other problem is that for some reason a beep was activated when connecting and disconnecting the charger, which is quite annoying and from what I have investigated it is a problem with the Realtek driver.

I have already restored this computer and installed Windows in different ways and installed the drivers from the official Acer website and I have not been able to solve the problem.

I would greatly appreciate the help.

Did you try uninstalling the audio drivers and installing the ones specific to your laptop from Acer site?

The whole audio system and its drivers are not only comprised of the Realtek drivers, if you install the “Intel® Driver & Support Assistant” and do a scan then you will see what audio drivers are associated with your laptop, my Nitro 5 - AN515-56 has the following audio drivers which all contribute to the sound of this laptop in different ways:

AN515-56 - AUDIO DRIVERS LIST IN INTEL DRIVER & SUPPORT ASSISTANT

    • Intel® Smart Sound Technology for Bluetooth® Audio
    • NVIDIA High Definition Audio
    • Realtek Audio
    • NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
    • Intel® Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones
    • Intel® Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio

If you have disturbed any of these drivers and/or uninstalled them then and as they are interconnected, you need to reinstall all of them and use the Intel driver scan to install all the Intel audio drivers plus uninstall the NVIDIA graphics driver and reinstall it to update the HD audio from the new graphics drivers for your GPU and also install the Realtek audio. The audio in these laptops are interconnected and if you uninstall especially the Realtek driver it affects all the other audio drivers also. Its happened to me on my AN515-56 when I tried to upgrade the Realtek audio driver and I had to do a complete uninstall of the gpu NVIDIA driver, and use the Intel scan and the windows update to update to the appropriate drivers. You can also rollback the audio drivers above in Device Manager and see if that fixes your audio problems. Try that as it worked for me.

    1. Intel Driver & Support Assistant only works on Intel's chipsets. The surest way to mess your computer is using Intel Driver Support Assistant and then install its Realtek audio driver. Those Realtek audio driver is for Intel NUC only. It doesn't contain any acer specific inf files.
    2. The OP doesn't list what specific versions of the Realtek audio driver, Realtek Audio Console and Waves MaxxAudio app.
    3. You can try to install the Waves app (1.0.67.0) from Predator PT315-51. I don't know if it will intall or not.
    4. The Realtek audio driver doesn't make the beep sound. Windows OS makes the beep sound.

It's like you don't want any help at all.

Did you even read what I wrote?

    1. I wrote intel driver support assistant is useless and makes the situation worst for a lot of people. SO DON'T USE IT.
    2. I ask you to tell us what driver version you have, what realtek audio console version you have and what waves maxxaudio pro app you have.
    3. I ask you to try to install the waves maxxaudio pro app from the predator model.

Follow this update tutorial, go to MUC and use search terms realtek 22h2 media amd realtek 22h2 audio effects. You will end up with realtek audio driver 6.0.9468.1 and realtek audio console 1.40.288.1 (or 1.40.289.1). And you should already have 1.0.67.1 waves app from the predator download.
