Model: Acer KG251QDBMIIPX 24.5 inches 240hz FHD

As the title says, today as I was just playing on my monitor two horrizontal lines appeared suddenly when i wasn't even doing anything but playing a game, i tried unplugging everything and all but they still won't go. I tried turning the PC off but the lines appeared even with the PC off so it's 100% the monitor. Why did this happen? I've had this monitor for 4 years and I've never touched it after putting it in place or anything it always was healthy.

The lines seem to appear depending on whats above them, i think they might be the replication of a pixel from a certain height but in a broken way.

Please help this is freaking me out why acer?!

It looks like an artifact from the OS or software, not the monitor. Do you see it all the time, or only for certain apps? Can you see it when the splash screen is displayed when you first turn the monitor on? How about when booted into the BIOS?

Since it appears even when the monitor is showing the Acer splash screen, it is a problem with the monitor, not the cableor the PC. It is possible the issue relates to the cable that runs between the main board and the display, but more likely is either in the power circuit or on the main board. Not likely to be worth repairing, but chck with Acer to see if they have a flat rate repair offered for out of warranty items.
