Fan noise on brand new all-in-one (Aspire C27-1751) , fan starts running immediately upon booting

My gf bought this new all-in-one just a couple of weeks ago. The fan has been running from the first time we turned it on. It starts running literally before anything else when we start the computer. It is really unbearable.

Everything is updated, and there are no updates running in the background. Any advice?

This migh t be because the computer is not running as efficiently as possible, and/or clogged air vents. so make sure no dust are accumilated on the fan.

But this is literally a brand new computer … How could it have accumulated dust? The fan noise started the moment we turned it on, and that was right after we removed it from its packaging. It has been going ever since.

Maybe it is not running as efficiently as possible, but how do we check that?

Might be an issue with the heat sink fan. Try turning off the monitor and unplug all the cables(Including the power cable from wall socket). Than press and hold the power button for 30 seconds than connect the wires and check.

The fan should spin up to full speed when you first turn it on, then drop back to a much slower speed until things get warm. I'd swap the unit with the vendor if it's still in their window and open a ticket with Acer support for repair if it's been too long. It's not acting as I believe it should.

This is an all-in-one pc, so it really only has one cable. I tried to unplug it and then holding the power button for 30 seconds, but it did not change anything.

Yeah, the disconnect/hold power thing is for a monitor, not realyl for a PC.
