Why would the power supply on my acer nitro N50-610 die?

I cant sem to find anything that would cause it to simply not come on? I have been hearing that it has been an occuring problem.

    PSUs can burn out because of many issues, your mains power surges, heat, the coolig fan problems that cause internal components to overheat and their transformers burning out that need expert diagnoses and fixing and a user should NEVER EVER OPEN A PSU as you can get a serious electrical shock that could be even lethal. In todays low quality oem components grades this is common and not unusual.

    The N50-610s Acer fitted PSUs are the following so get a new one:

    it's high time to buy a new PSU with bigger wattage and compatible to your desktop nitro

    Nope, that comment didn't take into account what model you actually have. Your PSU choices are the 300W or 500W listed above.

    so unless i buy an adapter for a 24pin supply then ther are no other choices?

    Not really, the third party suppliers aren't offering ATX12VO supplies yet. :(
