So, I had been getting this same crash after tabbing out of FiveM during loading and stuff, nothing major, just annoying, but I decided to install a new chipset driver in an attempt to fix it, but now after doing so y gameplay has been at a lower fps (~45 - 60 to 25 - 30) and extremely frequent stuttering, for no apparent reason. My CPU was also running at 0.2ghz when I opened task manager, down from the 2.6ghz base clock, whilst also in performance mode, where it should be 3.8GHZ.

Also, before launching FiveM, it was running at 3.8GHZ, but then dropped after launch?

    Your machine does not meet the minimum FiveM discrete graphics chip requirement for trouble-free performance. So crashes don't seem unusual.. What was original factory installed Windows version? Win10 or Win11?

    Hi, sorry for the late reply - saw it but forgot to reply when I got home...

    It came with W10 from the factory. My issues have only began since I installed the new drivers which is what's confusing me.

    What is the exact Aspire A515-56 model number and specs, it should be something like Aspire A515-56-778U which this model is an i7-1165G7 with the Iris Xe Graphics and 8GB ram. The best way to have the most up to date Intel and correct drivers is to install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and do a scan with that software, as that will make sure that all your intel and especially your graphics and Wi-Fi/BT drivers are up to date, which get updated often for a new Aspire laptop.

    Where did you get the new chipset driver from, was it from Intel or from a search on the web, as if you got it from Intel or the web its probably the wrong driver as the proper Chipset Driver for the A515-56 is the Intel Version:10.1.24.5 as chipset drivers don't get updated often so you should run this version as its what Acer installed oem to this laptop. Also, I would update the bios to the last version 1.31 as this laptop has allot of bios fixes with its bios updates which will also help the functionality of this laptop and I would never run FiveM on my Aspire as was mentioned above.

    I also suggest if you are operating this laptop under Win-10 that you update it to Win-11 Home latest version: 22H2 OS build: 22621.1265, and do a clean install and then you won't have these problem, btw I've got an A515-57-56UV - i5-1235U - Intel® Iris Xe Graphics and 16GB DDR4-3200Mhz ram so I speak from experience as my Aspire is running the above Win-11 Home perfectly and I and my son play some games on it and its playable, but its not a gaming laptops so remember that.

    Also remember that before doing a clean install of Win-11 installation with a usb, download the A515-56s IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver Version:18.6.1.1016 driver onto another usb as you will need this driver after you have completely deleted and formatted the boot drive and then you can install Win-11, after that make sure that all windows updates are downloaded and installed and install the Intel Driver and Support software and do a scan and install all the latest Intel Win-11 drivers for your laptop up to date, as after the clean install and all drivers are up to date your laptop will operate 100% better. Good luck and hope this helps you out and let us know how it pans out.

    1. What problems were you trying to fix with new drivers?
    2. Did you download them from this link?

    Hi, I was having this crash once or twice a day, and everything I found regarding it said it was probably drivers, and my best guess for the one I needed to update was chipset drivers, which were from the link you attached;

    [Window Title]

    Error GTA5_b1604.exe!_runReaderThreadTick (0xee)

    [Main Instruction]

    GTA5_b1604.exe!_runReaderThreadTick (0xee)

    [Content]

    An error at GTA5_b1604.exe!_runReaderThreadTick (0xee) caused FiveM to stop working. A crash report is being uploaded to the FiveM developers.

    Legacy crash hash: low-apart-failed

    Stack trace:

    GTA5_b1604.exe!_runReaderThreadTick (0xee)

    GTA5_b1604.exe!sub_141281154 (0x10)

    GTA5_b1604.exe!StartAddress (0xfd)

    KERNEL32.DLL!BaseThreadInitThunk (0x13)

    adhesive.dll!CreateComponent (0x1d8d812)

    ntdll.dll!RtlUserThreadStart (0x20)

    and another relating to this;

    My exact model is A515-56-706U - i have an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 and 16gb of ram, as well as Iris Xe Graphics.

    I updated from the Acer website initially, but then used the intel drivers tool thing, which then gave me more drivers..

    I'll try installing that specific version and get back to you.

    Okay, so, the drivers you said I should install, are the same ones I installed. I also just updated BIOS to 1.31

    So, it was still crashing, but a new one about graphic drivers being incorrect or something. I updated them through device manager (friend recommended it, first time i've seen device manger be useful..), and it has resolved all my issues somehow?
