Can My ACER Nitro AN515-54-588T SNID: 03505155534 be charged via USB port?

I would like to know if my computer ACER Nitro AN515-54-588T SNID: 03505155534 can be charged via one of its USB ports. For example by portable charging pack via USB connection.

I have purchased a portable power pack that says that it is compatible with cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc. But I worry that I may damage this laptop somehow, if I attempt to charge the laptop battery via the portable power pack. Is it safe to recharge my computer this way and if so, which USB ports may I use?

Thanks for your assistance.

NO, the USB-C of this laptop is only for output and not input, the AN515-54 USB 3.1 Type-C Port functions are these:

Connects to USB devices with a USB Type-C connector.

    • Support USB 3.1 Gen 1 with transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps.

    • Delivers up to 3A at 5V DC for USB charging.

No support for display out and can't be used for a monitor (for monitor out you need a USB Type-C / Thunderbolt™ 4)

    The battery on your laptop is a 180W 19.5V 1.7x5 and comes with two type of chargers, a 135W 19V 1.7x5 or a 180W 19.5V 1.7x5 charger.

    Thanks for your reply.

So, If I cannot charge the laptop from the power bank via USB port. Then how about using a USB to DC adapter? Would this work or could I potentially damage my battery by doing so? Please forgive me, if this is a completely terrible idea, I am abundantly ignorant in this area and I at least have the commonsense to seek advice from more knowledgable people.

    My Power Bank Stats are:

    Cell Type: Lithium-Polymer

    Battery Capacity: 10000mAh

    Input Micro & Type-C: 5V/2.0A

    9V/2.0A

    12V/1.5A

    Output Type-c:5V/3.0A

    9V/2.0A

    12V/1.5A

    USB 5V/3.0A

    9V/2.0A

    12V/1.5A

The charging USB will work but can’t charge at the full capacity as it’s a 12V/1.5A and you need 19V/1.7A capacity like the Acer charger provides, the USB will take at least 3x longer to charge your laptop to the Acer supplied charger adaptor that is either a 135W or 180W 19V 1.7x5 type charger and the USB does not have that capacity for charging.

These gaming laptops have big chargers as they need allot of power to charge the battery and/or operate under these charger/adaptors and using any chargers that are not oem and weaker will take 3x or 10x to charge the laptop and its just useless to use them, if you are desperate then you can use them and if you want charge the laptop on the go, then use a car 12v cigarette plug adaptor as that will take ages to charge a laptop like yours.

Thanks again. Thankfully, I got the power bank primarily for charging my cellphone while out, so no great loss. I'll just use it for my phone and my son's chrome book and switch. Seems like I'm better off finding a plug any time I need to charge the computer.
